Terms.

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of Beam, a macOS application made by Noats, Inc. ("we", "us"), your Beam account, and any plan you buy. By downloading or using Beam, or creating an account, you agree to them. If you do not, do not use the software.

2. Your account

An account is for one person. Keep your sign-in to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used it. You are responsible for what happens on your account and on the Macs you approve for it. A new Mac joins your account only after you approve it.

3. Plans

Each plan is a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Beam on every Mac you use, for any purpose, personal or commercial. A plan belongs to a person, not to a Mac.

• Free. Host as many Macs as you like and join share links, with no time limit. Beaming from your own Macs is included for 20 minutes a day. We may change what Free includes.
• Monthly and Yearly. Everything, all day, on every Mac you use, for as long as your subscription is paid. They renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel.
• Lifetime. One payment for everything in Beam, on every Mac you use, and every future update. Lifetime covers direct connections. Relay, if offered, is a separate service. A Mac on Lifetime needs to go online at least once every 30 days to stay signed in.
• Teams. One subscription for a group, billed per person (a seat) on one invoice. The team's administrators add and remove people and the team's shared Macs. When someone leaves a team, they lose the team's plan within a day and keep their own. A Mac using a team's plan needs to go online at least once a day to keep it.

On any plan, one account can view from two Macs at the same time.

Prices are on the plans page and at checkout, before you pay. Taxes may be added where the law requires. Payment is handled by Stripe.

4. Free trials

Monthly and Yearly start with 14 days free. A trial needs a card, and is one per person and one per card. Unless you cancel before it ends, your first payment is taken when the trial ends. Cancel during the trial and you are not charged.

5. Cancelling

You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account page. It stops renewing, and you keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for. After that you are on Free.

6. Refunds

If Beam does not work for you and we cannot put it right, email hello@beam.win and we will sort out a refund. Refunds are otherwise at our discretion. This is in addition to any rights you have as a consumer.

A full refund ends the plan that payment bought. So does a chargeback or payment dispute, unless it is decided in our favour. If you move from Monthly or Yearly to Lifetime within three months, write to us and we will credit what you paid.

7. Bought Beam before plans

If you bought Beam for $49, or got it with a free code, before plans launched on 14 October 2026, you are on Lifetime, at no charge. Sign in with the email address you used, and verify it, and Lifetime is on your account. If you used a different address, email us and we will move it.

8. What you may not do

• share your account or a plan with another person, or resell or pass on Beam or access to it;
• use Beam on a Mac you do not own or are not authorised to use, or to view or control someone else's screen without their permission;
• use Beam to break the law, including computer-misuse and surveillance law;
• get around the plan limits, the free daily minutes or the sign-in checks, or interfere with our servers;
• reverse engineer or decompile it, except where the law expressly allows that regardless of these terms;
• remove or obscure any copyright or trademark notice.

9. Other people's Macs and screens

Beam can show and control a window on another Mac without anything changing on that Mac's screen. That is a feature when both Macs are yours and a problem when they are not. You are responsible for having the right to use every Mac you connect, and for whatever you do through a beamed window. Making sure that is lawful and permitted is your responsibility, not ours.

A share link opens one of your windows in someone else's browser. What they see and do with it is between you and them.

10. Updates

Beam checks for updates, then downloads and installs them in the background. You can check for one yourself from the app at any time. Updates may add, change or remove features.

11. Ownership

Beam, its name, icon, design and code, belong to Noats, Inc. Your plan is a licence to use it; it does not transfer any ownership. Beam includes open-source components, each used under its own licence; email us for the list.

12. Privacy

What your account holds, who helps us run it, and how to delete it are in our privacy policy.

13. No warranty

Beam is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will work with every network, every Mac or every future version of macOS.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data or business interruption, arising from your use of Beam. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep your statutory rights.

15. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Beam, cancel your plan and ask us to delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if your account is used by more than one person, or if a payment is reversed. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close your account because you broke these terms, we do not refund what you paid. On termination you should delete the app. Sections 9, 11, 13, 14 and 16 survive.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Noats, Inc. is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

17. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change is significant we will email you before it takes effect, and continuing to use Beam after that means you accept the revised terms. A price change applies from your next renewal, never to a period you have already paid for.
